Tank equipment modules are being unlocked through the armor technology tree for the base chassis, engine and armor modules. The main weapon modules are unlocked through the artillery technology.
Additional supporting or special modules become available via the common tech trees (such as radios from the engineering tech tree).
== Tank chassis == | |||
=== Tank chassis types ===
The chassis is the frame of the tank. Basic categories are light, medium, heavy, modern and amphibious, of which light, medium and heavy can be improved by research. Chassis define largest type of turret it can handle, thus limiting armament type of tank. This can be bypassed only by switching turret for fixed superstructure.

== Turret == | |||
Turrets are the main source of breakthrough, representing visibility from vehicle, size of crew workspace and their workload. Type of chassis determine maximus size of turret. Size of turret determines size of the weapon it can mount. Smaller weapons can be always mounted. Fixed super-structure allows mounting of larger sized guns and provides a higher reliability rate though it comes at the cost of breakthrough. Fixed super-structure cannot mount AA guns as it cannot track the target or elevate the gun far enough to hit planes.

== Weapons == | |||
A tank's weapon is one of its most distinguishing features. In addition to providing most, if not all, of the firepower of the vehicle, the main gun also determines which roles the design can fill. For example, mounting an anti-air gun will prevent the tank design from being used as a "tank".
Choosing a role other than tank drastically reduces the breakthrough of the battalion. Other than that, there are only minor differences in the base stats depending on the chosen role. It is important to note that different may receive different bonuses depending on researched technologies, doctrines or leaders.

Secondary turrets increase the attack power of the tank. Number of additional mountable turrets depend on chassis type:
* Light chassis can only mount up to 1 secondary turret.
* Medium chassis can only mount up to 2 secondary turrets.
* Heavy and super-heavy chassis can mount up to 4 secondary turrets.
* Amphibious and modern chassis cannot mount secondary turret at all.

Tank equipment modules are being unlocked through the armor technology tree for the base chassis, engine and armor modules. The main weapon modules are unlocked through the artillery technology. Additional supporting or special modules become available via the common tech trees (such as radios from the engineering tech tree).
Tank chassis
Tank chassis types
The chassis is the frame of the tank. Basic categories are light, medium, heavy, modern and amphibious, of which light, medium and heavy can be improved by research. Chassis define largest type of turret it can handle, thus limiting armament type of tank. This can be bypassed only by switching turret for fixed superstructure.

Engine
Engine types
Type of engine helps in certain uses of tank, either increasing maximum speed, reliability, defense and breakthrough, which can come at cost of higher production cost or fuel usage.

Engine upgrades
It is possible to improve the stats of the engine by upgrading its level. Each level provides the same stacking effects.
Four upgrade levels are available at the beginning with additional levels unlocking after researching the appropriate technologies in the armor tech tree.

Suspension
A tank's suspension system is designed to support the weight of the tank and its crew, while also providing a smooth ride.
Tracked suspension
Tracked suspension are availible for all chassis types. Bogie suspension is default type with no additional production cost, other types increase certain stats for additional production cost.

Armor
The armor modules represent the processes used during the construction of the tank's chassis and its armor.
Armor types

Turret
Turrets are the main source of breakthrough, representing visibility from vehicle, size of crew workspace and their workload. Type of chassis determine maximus size of turret. Size of turret determines size of the weapon it can mount. Smaller weapons can be always mounted. Fixed super-structure allows mounting of larger sized guns and provides a higher reliability rate though it comes at the cost of breakthrough. Fixed super-structure cannot mount AA guns as it cannot track the target or elevate the gun far enough to hit planes.
Weapons
A tank's weapon is one of its most distinguishing features. In addition to providing most, if not all, of the firepower of the vehicle, the main gun also determines which roles the design can fill. For example, mounting an anti-air gun will prevent the tank design from being used as a "tank".
Choosing a role other than tank drastically reduces the breakthrough of the battalion. Other than that, there are only minor differences in the base stats depending on the chosen role. It is important to note that different may receive different bonuses depending on researched technologies, doctrines or leaders.

Secondary turrets
Secondary turrets increase the attack power of the tank. Number of additional mountable turrets depend on chassis type:
- Light chassis can only mount up to 1 secondary turret.
- Medium chassis can only mount up to 2 secondary turrets.
- Heavy and super-heavy chassis can mount up to 4 secondary turrets.
- Amphibious and modern chassis cannot mount secondary turret at all.
