Special Projects were introduced with the release of
- 重定向 Template:圖標 and the accompanying Patch 1.15. Special Projects are research projects carried out in Experimental Facilities, a new province-based building type. Experimental Facilites employ Scientists who passively contribute to breakthroughs, a resource needed to start new Special Projects. Breakthrough progress is also made by researching specific technologies. Special Projects require a scientist with the appropriate skill to be assigned to a facility.
There are four types of Experimental Facilities:
- Nuclear Research Facilities
- Naval Engineering Facilities
- Aerodynamics and Avionics Facilities
- Land Warfare Facilites
