This is the main hatnote template, off of which individual hatnotes, are based. Editing the formatting here will change the format of all hatnotes, ensuring consistency and making it easy to apply desired formatting changes. Hatnotes are short notes placed at the top of an article or section (hence the name) for various reasons, e.g. to point people to a main article ({{main}}) in a summary section.
